Changing Tack: Sydney bound

 
I may as well come right out and say it:
WE”RE MOVING TO SYDNEY!
 
To be completely honest we’d prefer to stay in Bangkok (and there have already been tears), but here are the reasons we’re moving to Sydney:
 
REASON #1 : WORK
My MBA is coming to a close and it’s time to…pay back that student loan!  YAY!  Not really the main reason, but that is ONE factor.
In reality I want to get back into it, flex some new skills, learn new things, meet clever people, and get moving career-wise again.

MBA Update

Well folks I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with my Executive MBA.
But I wouldn’t say I felt I was on the home stretch yet. That begins in July.
I’m currently in week 5 (of 12) for units 9 and 10 (of 12)
I just got my results for last semester and it’s all good!
In my “bogey” unit – the one I was dreading – Financial Management, I managed to score a Distinction.
So too for the other core unit I did over Christmas which was Change & Innovation. This was a big …

The Only Constant is Change

Soooo….. I’m not sure how to tell you this but….
…we moved to Bangkok on the 13th of February.
We’ve been ultra busy since we made the decision on 21 January to move back to Thailand.
Here’s a timeline of events:
<deep breath>
- Spent the week of 21-27 Jan in Bangkok over Vietnamese Tet. It was a trip that was planned and booked prior to our decision to move there, but it gave us a great opportunity to secure an apartment for our move.

The Year That Was, and The Year That Will Be

Happy New Year!!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas break and New Years Eve – if not, get a life!  Get out there people!
We spent Christmas Day with friends enjoying a massive buffet at the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel, then finishing off with more drinks at friends at J.A.F.A bar.  Very early on Boxing Day (26 Dec) we flew to Vientiane in Laos for three nights, and then on to beautiful Luang Prabang for six nights including New Years Eve. I’ll post more information about our time in Laos soon.

I recently de-wormed myself.
 
There’s something I never thought I’d say.
